Hello I'm fairly new to the PC world, and am needing some help. I'll jump right in. My motherboard only has 2 fan headers not including the cpu fan header. I have a 3gb gtx1060(I know, Shame on me). and the processor is an AMD FX-8120. My cpu has 8 cores and while playing games like chivalry and fortnite (ON High/med settings) my temps can reach 80 celsius! Would I be better off trading for a ps4 pro and just going back to my console gaming IF I'm not willing to drop any extra money into this already wallet-taxing rig. My the way here is complete specs. MOBO: Gigabyte ga-78lmt. CPU: AMD FX-8120 (8 cores). RAM:12gb. GPU: Geforce GTX1060 3gb. OS: Windows 10. Someone please be honest, is my CPU garbage for trying to get performance and decent quality for the current games? It runs Black ops 3 at a very playable 40-45 fps. I believe that's on high settings.

Solution
Your CPU is dated, but adding some fans to your case is relatively cheap. A good 120mm fan is in the $10-25 range.

And 80 C is a bit high, but you will not see throttling until around 100 C.
