Hi guys,

i have a problem building my HTPC.

Bought following components:

ASRock FM2A88M-HD+ R3.0 - MBO
AMD Kaveri Athlon X4 840 AD840XYBJABOX - CPU
Asus radeon HD 5450 silent - GPU
Corsair VS350 350W, VS Series - PSU

2x Corsair 2GB DDR3 1600Mhz - RAM (taken from older build)
3x 1TB Western Digital Green sata - HDD (taken from older build)
1x 120GB pheonix pro fm-25s2s sata2 - SSD (taken from older build)

Windows 10 pro x64 - OS
(when installing os, only ssd was connected and set to ahci mode)

The problem is that i can only have 3 sata hdd connected to boot normally into windows, when connecting the 4th one, after bios splash screen i get only black screen with blinking white dash.

Tried everything:
checking hdd's for errors
changing in bios from ide to ahci
removing ssd and putting 160gb hdd
installing all drivers
checking sata ports

all works fine but always gives me black screen when using all 4sata ports.

What can be the problem, please help...

Solution
That is a trash power supply, but one extra drive should not make that much of a difference, also it might not even turn on then. Have you tried a clear CMOS?
I would get a new power supply either way, those VS power supplies are not safe to use.
All 3 HDD are filled with movies, pics, TV shows etc. SSD contains only windows.
Boot is set to SSD, but when restarting after black screen it replaces SSD with one of the HDD.

Tried viewing hidden files and deleted boot folders from HDDs from previous installs but still nothing...

yes, SSD works fine with any combination of sata ports and 2 HDDs i cant even reinstall windows when everything is connected...
i removed SSD and placed 4 HDDs and still wont let me boot to usb to install windows, always black screen with flashing dash...

sata ports are fine, i tried combining 1+2+3, 1+3+4, 2+3+4, 1+2+4... and it boots, but adding extra HDD in any of those combination always gets me black screen...
is PSU power maybe to low?
