Hi guys, so i was having xHCI driver problems and issues when sutting down so I updated my bio (z370-f, version 0612) to 0615 through ez flash 3.0 using internet (DHCP). As soon as i clicked next it froze, no mouse movements or anything, i left it for awhile and turned my monitor off cause it was making me nervous aha. Hour and a half later turn my monitor on and theres just a black screen! what do I do? Power down??

Solution
If you can’t get back in with a cmos reset, your mobo has this feature to recover/update from a usb stick:

In the future, always update bios from usb within the bios, not Windows.
That's the only thing you can do, is to power it down and pray it didn't screw anything up.
My ASrock mobo decided to download the latest bios, as it was downloading it said "error downloading" I then clicked the X to stop it, then it said, installing bios - even though it told me it failed to download it fully.
Ruined the motherboard, - anyway - thats my nightmare story. Took 4 months to get a motherboard from ASrock

Ok, oh shit that sucks. It just freezes every time I try to do it over the internet in ez flash. is there another way to do it without a usb?

The board has pins on it to short for the cmos, is there a difference between them and actually taking out the battery?
