i want to overclock my amd x4 860k to 4.2 ghz, but im not sure on the voltage settings, how much volt is needed to overclock it to 4.2 ghz?

on 3.9 ghz

i just tried overclocking it to 3.9 from 3.7 and now my display is all glitchy do u have any idea how i can fix this

i crashed my pc 3 times, is it possible to damage my cpu if it crashes too many time

do you haave a turbo boost in bios ? like 4ghz boost
if so, you neet to put like 4.2 1.4v and the boost to 4.4

search for it in your bios
probably at cpu settings or where is your voltage

Changing the base clock on that CPU with a Gigabyte mobo has resulted in some unexpected behaviour for me in the past. Try to set the maximum boost to 4.2 on stock voltages and it should basically run that all-core whenever you need it.
