Hi all. Thanks in advance for any help. I am looking to purchase a new gaming PC and am willing to spend up to $3k or so, if needed. I've been considering Meta PC and Cyberpower PC. I've heard Meta PC can be a bit expensive, but not sure.

Would you all be willing to help me build a gaming PC that can handle the modern games and such? I'd like a lot of RAM too, as I work from home and do a lot of multitasking. I'd also like a motherboard that supports a good amount of USB connections and would like wifi and Bluetooth capability, if possible.

For instance, is this good? META PATHFINDER78 BLACK Looks like it comes with everything except the graphics card. It mentions that the ASUS TUF Gaming X870-PLUS WIFI is 'Pre-Wired with 12 pin for Any 50 Series,' so I'd just have to purchase a RTX 5080 or 5090. Not sure what the current prices are on those graphics cards.

I'll have to use the PC Parts Finder tool and see if I can locate the individual parts myself and then hire my local Microcenter to put it together.

That is awesome! Thank you so much! I've been plugging this all into their online system builder to order it all. However, it looks like the MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Shadow 3X Overclocked Triple Fan 16GB GDDR7 PCIe 5.0 Graphics Card is sold out currently.

What card is just as good that is currently in stock, please? I'm currently thinking of grabbing the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti SOLID SFF Overclocked Triple Fan 16GB GDDR7 PCIe 5.0 Graphics Card. It is $145 more expensive than the one on this list. They have 1 in stock.

One thing I just noticed is that I forgot to add a sound card. I usually buy a high end sound card for my PCs since I have some good Bose speakers I use.

Looking inside the case, it doesn't look like there is room, lol. The GeForce 5070 Ti is HUGE!

Nice looking build ^^ That board includes Realtek 4080 audio codec which is pretty high end for onboard sound.

The front of my case looks like that already, with the ports and such. Is there a way to add this in addition?

Is the Realtex 4080 audio codec as good as some of the top sound cards currently?
No, but the difference really only matters to audiophiles. So, if you have a high-end sound system and intend on streaming lossless music, you'd benefit - if you are just gaming on modest speakers/headphones and streaming 128/192 bit pop music - I wouldn't think it would matter. However, perception of sound quality is subjective.

Personally, I'd save my money for better speakers over a better sound card.

Audiophiles tend toward USB DACs, onboard sound has been a solved problem for about ten years now. Even the 'worst' onboard sound is perfectly serviceable.

Also there aren't that many sound chips on the market. C-Media and Realtek are basically the only two still in business, and I can't recall the last time C-Media made it onto a motherboard. Maybe ASUS boards?

I guess Cirrus Logic is inside many Intel SoC, didn't know that.

One odd thing that has been occurring since picking up my new PC is that oftentimes, when I leave it on overnight and come to it the next morning it has crashed into the Windows 11 installation. I then choose startup repair, and it doesn't find anything it can do, so I choose the shut down option. I'm then able to boot up normally after it shuts down. I think this might be an NVIDIA RTX 5070 ti issue, from what I see online.
