Please help me tweak my system for best value for money

Hi guys and girls, ive done a lot of reading and research on THG and through out the TGH fourms, and across the internet looking for what i want in a PC, I have aproximatly $1600USD including shipping and tax to New Zealand (so about 1-200 for shipping etc). The PC will be used for a mix of everything from Games to Aplications (WORD WinRAR) Photoshop to DvD encoding/ripping. I already have a 22" Dell widescreen and the OS

Ive priced the parts up at a local shop and at neweggg.com which is shown below, and from newegg.com it does work out cheaper, but i would also have to figgure in tax and shipping from the states

most of the specs are up for a lil tweeking

Any comments/help on this setup would be much apreciated

You have to change quite a few things.
1. Save money and get Gigabyte ga-p35-ds3r instead. Great board.
2. Get centurion 5 case for $45 with the Hiper PSU the person above me suggested.
3. Get Tuniq 120 Tower for the same money as Zalman, it will cool better. Throw in some $5 quality thermal paste too, MASSCOOL G751 Shin-Etsu is the best available on newegg.
4. 320MB won't be enough to game at 1680x1050 resolution (especially with upcoming DX10 games) which is default of your 22" monitor, spend an extra $50usd and get a 640MB version of 8800 GTS, preferably EVGA.

As far as I know Newegg doesn't ship abroad so unless friend of yours in the US can order it for you on the US mail address and then ship it to New Zealand you will have to deal with Tiger or Frys instead. Also (I am judging from many items I've ordered to Holland and Andorra in the past) everything bulky comes at a nearly tripple tarif. It might be a good idea to get a case and PSU somewhere in NZ and save a lot of $ on shipping.

I understand that newegg doesnt ship abroad, its just easier for me to post up parts that are avaliable int he states in USD as most of the user on here seem to be from the states. but i do plan on finding a company that will ship abroad and seeing what the price would be like

Dior: y do u suggest the gigabite motherboard? i like the Asus cause it has the onboard wireless network + it also preforms really well

The Gigabyte board seems to be the general recommendation for a decent P35 board, but I think if the wi-fi is a big thing for you then the Asus will do you fine. Personally I've never had any issues with Asus.

As someone already mentioned, I'd be amazed if you weren't better off buying at least the case & PSU in NZ.

Try and squeeze in a 640MB card if you can since you're using 1680x1050. Not really anything else to add that hasn't already been suggested.
