Hi everyone,

Here is my build so far http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zKH3K8. This is my first build and my first desktop. Using SONY Vaio VPCEB14EN which is giving hard disk SMART failure warning from a week before so going for a new build. Replaced keyboard and display earlier. So going for a new future safe build.

I do lot of After Effects rendering. GTA V is the only game I will play that's too only when my internet is down.
I am from India and so there is no wide range of products available as in partpicker.I have bought only two things:

1) Intel i7 6700k from paytm.com $378 Rs. 26500
2) Gigabyte GA-Z170-D3H ATX LGA1151 Motherboard $175 Rs.12000 ( arrives tomorrow. should I accept or return )

I have decided to buy RAM corsair 8GB DDR4 for $50 Rs. 3400.
I am so limited on budget now. Even bought the i7 6700k on EMI. So I am looking for minimal but good quality. Planned to skip NOT SO necessary stuffs like Graphics Card, Monitor ( will use our TV, I work on night) , Optical Drive, speakers and other things. Buying 14" cheap monitor and upgrading to 24" is waste of money what I spent on 14". Buy good else skip is the policy.

Now my questions are
1) What should I go for now ? 120GB $50 Rs.3400 or 240GB SSD or normal 1 TB Hard Disk ? I can afford only one now. either a SSD or Hard Disk now and the other one will go to buy later mode.

2) Suggest me a right cooler. I worried after looking Cooler Master evo for $50 because my Ceiling fan costs $20. Noise is not at all a big deal. No Air Conditioner in my house, Temp ranges 28 C to 38 C in my region.

3) Suggest me a case. I don't worry about the appearance. even the rectangular box is okay but it shouldn't spoil the luxurious i7 and MO.

4) Is the motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z170-D3H good ? there is no much reviews in the internet. got this because the seller recommended. worrying a little.

5) Is $10 zebronics 450W SMPS are good ?

Solution
First, please get a gpu. If you don't, that i7 will NOT be worth it, as it will really be bottlenecked by the integrated graphics.

A ssd would be good if you load a lot of stuff or if you create stuff on adobe after effects/ext. But if you only do this every other month or don't do it at all, just get the 1 tb HDD.

The stock cooler from intel would even work, but if you want, a cooler master 212 could work, see if it works with your socket and motherboard.

I cant suggest a case unless if you give me some details like how small/big you want it, room for expansion, ext. I will also need to know is the motherboard micro atx, mini itx, or atx/ext.

Its a great motherboard, but if you are not going to have sli/crossfire (combining 2...

Its a great motherboard, but if you are not going to have sli/crossfire (combining 2 graphics cards theoretically doubling the performance) then get a smaller motherboard. Here's a good one for that build: http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-LGA1151-Intel-Motherboard-GA-H110M-/dp/B0165YUDTM/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1456681017&sr=1-4&refinements=p_n_feature_seven_browse-bin%3A10656895011%2Cp_n_feature_four_browse-bin%3A2057458011

Just dont get that power supply, get something reliable, Like a xfx, seasonic, corsair, or rosewill power supply. By the way if you are getting a good graphics card (suggestions below) get at least 550w so it works, or if you want you desktop clean inside get a modular power supply (like a corsair cx 600m) If you choose not to get a graphics card get at least a 400 watt power supply.

Here is some suggestions for the graphics card:
$100- $130 GTX 750 ti (Needs at least 450w)
$80-$120 r7 360-370 (needs at least 430w) (REQUIRES A 6-8 PIN CONNECTION!)
$60-$80 gt 740 (needs at least 400w)
$40-$60 gt 730-20 (needs at least 400w)
$0-$40 Radeon 6450, gt 710 (needs at least 400w)

Motherboard suggestions:

http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-LGA1151-Mini-ITX-Motherboard-GA-H170N-WIFI/dp/B015CQ8D9Q/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1456685037&sr=1-1&refinements=p_n_feature_seven_browse-bin%3A10656895011%2Cp_n_feature_four_browse-bin%3A2057458011%2Cp_n_feature_six_browse-bin%3A2057509011 (Its $90, but it has wifi and is mini itx for super small builds)

Power Supply Suggestions:
$40-$60:

If you're expecting to be able to play GTA V with out a dedicated GPU, you won't be pleased. A GTX 960 would be a good option.

The Hyper 212 is a great cooler, get it.

The Z170-D3H is a good board. No worries.

Get a better PSU. That one has DEATH in it's name. Spend a good chunk of your budget on the PSU if you can. At least a good 500W 80+ Bronze.

The case doesn't matter too much, as long as it supports the 212 cooler height.

What i do agree on.If looking for someone from India you might want to take a look at
Flipkart
Amazon.in
Theitdepot

For a cpu cooler, going up in price,
http://www.flipkart.com/deepcool-gammaxx400-cooler/p/itmdcuj5qefxnyej?pid=COLDCUJYHPCKF4HV&ref=L%3A3585184638868211092&srno=p_9&query=cpu+cooler&otracker=from-search
has a blue led fan so you know, decent performance.
Probably the best for a decent budget,
http://www.flipkart.com/deepcool-neptwin-cooler/p/itmdh22ykgmkmfbp?pid=COLDH22WWQMSSYA9&ref=L%3A3585184638868211092&srno=p_10&query=cpu+cooler&otracker=from-search

A good psu,
http://www.flipkart.com/seasonic-s12g-550-550-watts-psu/p/itmduvefhzc9pauk?pid=PSUDUVEFT48QHPTH&al=t81NClMSVgSMgZ2KPb43tcldugMWZuE7JTWSsYnGIuWSdHZq4%2B42C1YHrrJP54I2guvj3FSjinU%3D&ref=L%3A-6575077181487693141&srno=b_23
lowest i would go,
http://www.flipkart.com/seasonic-s12ii-430-watts-psu/p/itmd5xz5bzevdbzp?pid=PSUD5XZ4PQNBPMES&al=t81NClMSVgQYImVhizamycldugMWZuE7JTWSsYnGIuUW5osDMXTohsN2NGnA13S9BRpFccA17iw%3D&ref=L%3A-2537784347141389486&srno=b_12
still good enough for that cpu and a not too power hungry gpu.No support for low power states of the cpu,so you might have to disable the C6/7 energy saving states in the bios.

I don't see a case as just a box,it's ability to easiliy house the components and keep them cool (very important) is something to keep an eye on.I would look at these,
cheap,
http://www.amazon.in/Deepcool-Tesseract-Tower-Computer-Case/dp/B00NGCS7YA/ref=sr_1_4?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1456740334&sr=1-4
this one seems nice, but has a limited cpu cooler height of 158mm which might not be enough for the coolers linked, they are officially either 1 or 2mm too high,
http://www.amazon.in/ANTEC-GX200-WINDOW-Blue-COMPUTER/dp/B00XPUTS7I/ref=sr_1_8?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1456740334&sr=1-8
something else,
http://www.amazon.in/Cooler-Master-Gaming-Computer-Cabinet/dp/B00DKXXBU0/ref=sr_1_15?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1456740334&sr=1-15
or
http://www.amazon.in/LANCOOL-DRAGON-PC-K62R2-STEEL-COMPUTER/dp/B00TWK6UY4/ref=sr_1_17?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1456740334&sr=1-17
or
http://www.amazon.in/DEEPCOOL-DUKASE-WINDOW-INTERIOR-SUSPENSION/dp/B018DLHO8I/ref=sr_1_19?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1456740334&sr=1-19
or
http://www.amazon.in/Deepcool-PANGU-V2-CPU-Chassis/dp/B00OUH811O/ref=sr_1_20?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1456740334&sr=1-20
to keep it under 5000rupees.If a case only has an exhaust fan you better add a fan at the front for better airflow or the other way round.

Is Cooler Master 103 ok ? How far it lacks when compared to 212x evo or Deepcool GAMMAXX400 Cooler
? ( 212 evo not available in any of the website in India)

Should I apply thermal paste during installations? Should I remove cooler from time to time to re-apply ?? Sorry this is my first build. I can see may forums here answering YES to the question.
Is there any special thing I should take care. Like ESD discharge, Thermal paste etc.,

Cryorig H7 is not in the preference because they aren't available in India. Will neptwin block the any other sockets of the motherboard ? Will it hold high gaming ? and what is maximum temp of i7 6700K can be and How far can I go with overclock ?

It is recommended to first assemble the rig outside the case to make sure everything works. Use your motherboard box for this like shown here http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ETaaBzbTfEc/VhbXwS5vNgI/AAAAAAAAAKE/hepZYoxefx0/s1600/P_20150930_084711.jpg

Once assebling in the case, remember to install all the motherboard standoffs, otherwise you will short the board at startup.

When installing RAM, use the 2 notches furthest away from the CPU http://www.pcstats.com/articleimages/201102/Asusp7p55dPre_m5.jpg
Here you would use the 2 blue sockets.

Everything comes up in this guide http://www.pcworld.com/article/2987057/computers/how-to-build-a-pc-a-step-by-step-comprehensive-guide.html

Antec VP550 550 Watts PSU is the only model he have and offering at Rs.4000 less than flipkart's price of Rs.4100. I have returned old zebronics products and cash. He charged Rs. 150 for that. So I am not locked with him now.

Also whats the best UPS ? I have Main inverter in my home. But I can see a blink when the inverter shifts to battery power.

You're not limited to that supplier anymore? If i understand correctly. I already gave some options earlier.

I'm not well known with the UPS so can't advice on that part.We have a good powergrid here,no need for those. If you want can i ask a mod. who seems to know these to look at the thread. You can also p.m. him yourself, link this thread in the message.

I planned to get this one. http://www.ebay.in/itm/SEASONIC-520W-POWER-SUPPLY-80-BRONZE-S12II-520-/111473113364?hash=item19f450b914:g:kn4AAOSwPe1T~ret

But my budget isn't really allowing. I thought of going with neptwin cooler as I render all night. ( Neptwin costs Rs.3750 Our ceiling fan cost Rs.1100 :( )

I got all the things except cooler, SMPS and UPS. I may be skipping UPS as of now due to budget. Will wait for another month to earn money and then will be buying SMPS and Cooler. still monitor, GPUs are pending.
