Hi everyone,

Here is my build so far http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zKH3K8. This is my first build and my first desktop. Using SONY Vaio VPCEB14EN which is giving hard disk SMART failure warning from a week before so going for a new build. Replaced keyboard and display earlier. So going for a new future safe build.

I do lot of After Effects rendering. GTA V is the only game I will play that's too only when my internet is down.
I am from India and so there is no wide range of products available as in partpicker.I have bought only two things:

1) Intel i7 6700k from paytm.com $378 Rs. 26500
2) Gigabyte GA-Z170-D3H ATX LGA1151 Motherboard $175 Rs.12000 ( arrives tomorrow. should I accept or return )

I have decided to buy RAM corsair 8GB DDR4 for $50 Rs. 3400.
I am so limited on budget now. Even bought the i7 6700k on EMI. So I am looking for minimal but good quality. Planned to skip NOT SO necessary stuffs like Graphics Card, Monitor ( will use our TV, I work on night) , Optical Drive, speakers and other things. Buying 14" cheap monitor and upgrading to 24" is waste of money what I spent on 14". Buy good else skip is the policy.

Now my questions are
1) What should I go for now ? 120GB $50 Rs.3400 or 240GB SSD or normal 1 TB Hard Disk ? I can afford only one now. either a SSD or Hard Disk now and the other one will go to buy later mode.

2) Suggest me a right cooler. I worried after looking Cooler Master evo for $50 because my Ceiling fan costs $20. Noise is not at all a big deal. No Air Conditioner in my house, Temp ranges 28 C to 38 C in my region.

3) Suggest me a case. I don't worry about the appearance. even the rectangular box is okay but it shouldn't spoil the luxurious i7 and MO.

4) Is the motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z170-D3H good ? there is no much reviews in the internet. got this because the seller recommended. worrying a little.

5) Is $10 zebronics 450W SMPS are good ?

Solution
First, please get a gpu. If you don't, that i7 will NOT be worth it, as it will really be bottlenecked by the integrated graphics.

A ssd would be good if you load a lot of stuff or if you create stuff on adobe after effects/ext. But if you only do this every other month or don't do it at all, just get the 1 tb HDD.

The stock cooler from intel would even work, but if you want, a cooler master 212 could work, see if it works with your socket and motherboard.

I cant suggest a case unless if you give me some details like how small/big you want it, room for expansion, ext. I will also need to know is the motherboard micro atx, mini itx, or atx/ext.

Its a great motherboard, but if you are not going to have sli/crossfire (combining 2...

Do Neptwin support LGA1151 socket ? What about going with https://paytm.com/shop/p/corsair-vs450-power-supply-unit-450-w-with-4-sata-cables-COMCORSAIR-VS45ABEE310483789F23B?src=grid&tracker=%7C%7C%7C%7C%2Fg%2Felectronics%2Fcomputers-accessories%2Fcomputer-components%2Fpower-supply%7C2 as of now ? I can upgrade the SMPS and later. Hope it will not fry my system. I am thinking of Cooler Master 103 too. As can buy them now and I can make my build up and running.

Seasonic + Neptwin costs 10,000 while
Corsair VS 450 + Cooler master 103 costs 5,000 Confused a lot.

I ordered Neptwin V2 and now I was about to pick a seasonic SMPS S12ii 430W or 520W ? there is a price difference of $15. S12G 520 adds $30 to 420W. Planning for opting EMI. Which one should I pick.

Making a choice is really difficult.

Got all the parts and built my first build. But a huge problem making me to think that I shouldn't have to done this.
Here is the parts I have

i7 6700K
Gigabyte GA z170 D3H
Neptwin Cooler
Seasonic s12ii 430w
Corsair ddr4 8GB RAM and
WD blue 1 TB harddisk

At the very first attempt the rig isnt started at all. then after removing ATX 12V 8 pins and connecting ATX 12V 4 pins the system started. Fan is running. MOBO audio led is up. But it restarts for every 13 - 14 second exactly until I switch it off manually. No picture in the display ( I am using HDMI to sony tv )

I don't have any other RAM or other parts to test. I shifted RAM to other port, reconnected everything except the cooling fan mounting. Reconnected System fan headers, no use. No I worry a lot . Have I burned mobo or CPU ?

The MOBO CPU lever is pretty strong. Have I broken the PIN ?
I haven't used any ESD bands. Just tapped my fingers on a metal for few time. Is that could be the issue ?
Before installing cpu fan there is a finger print. I didn't had anything to clean. thought my cotton may add up dust to it. is that the reason. When the system started for the first time I smelt a light burning like smell.

Planning to take the rig to the nearby service shop. But what I worry again is they don't even know that DDR4 exists and suggesting DDR2 for normal peoples and DDR4 for high end peoples.

Pls suggest me what should I do?

Can you rebuild? Look carefully at the manual and this list.

Do you have fresh paste for the cpu? It's recommended to replace when taking the cooler off.For removal of paste just use a clean rag free cloth or some soft toilet paper. For residue some medical alcohol, this would have worked with the fingerprint as well.
Take the cpu out of the socket as sel if rebuilding and check the pins, can use a magnifier if you have one and point a lamp on the socket, try different angles.

A burning smell is hard to say something about, can be something on the motherboard or maybe even that fingerprint, but that is probably covered by paste.Check the motherboard carefully for burned parts,if there are any try an rma.

I have taken my Build to my computer service center. He just did the thing what I did and the same problem happened. We finally decided that the problem could be with the board.
So decided to return the board and when placing the cover came with board, I broken the pins. I placed the cover before the clip and it damaged the pins. I contacted the vendor and he said he can change the pins for Rs.1400

many suggested the lite burning smell will be usual for the first run.
Is the 430 W seasonic could be the problem ? Because Gigabyte z170 D3H suggests 500w and above supply.

I am completely broken as I have bought these things on EMI and I have to pay here after only.

That picture also states,

Expansion Requirements
which ,means if you want to upgrade it might be adviced to have more power, but the psu will do fine for what you have and even when adding a low or mid range gpu would you still be fine.Think of something like a gtx 960 for mid range.

I hope when the motherboard is fixed you will be fine again with the new parts.:)
