My internet has never been bad I am getting 1k ping playing fortnite when I used to get 40 I don't understand what happened because I changed nothing please help my fix this problem

Ping your gateway (both router and ISP gateway), ping DNS server(s), and ping games server(s) and other locations to see if any / all are good or bad. Check system for background processes or Internet activity (e.g. Windows 10 update is always a suspect). Do some speed tests. See if it's as expected.
