This laptop confuses me. I bought an Asus laptop about a year ago and these are the specs:
CPU - Intel i5 - 7200U @2.5 GHz
RAM - 8192 MB
Intergrated Graphics - Intel HD graphics 620
Dedicated - Nvidia GeForce 940MX
I only really play league of legends on my laptop. When I choose to run it with intergrated graphics, there are no issues, no fps drops and will run at 60 fps at medium settings no issue.
However, when I choose to run it with the "High performace Nvidia Graphics Processor" I can't run the game even on the lowest settings... the game will run at 60 fps for 2 minutes and then drop all the way to 5 fps for about 30 seconds and then go back to normal in this endless cycle that makes me tear a ball out.
Why does this happen? I thought the nvidia processor was designed to work better for gaming. Im a complete noob at computers so i dont know a lot. In the settings it says the Nvidia Geforce 940MX is "Render Only Display Device". Not sure if that is worth mentioning or not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
