I need a new router and can't really decide between ASUS RT-AC68U or NETGEAR Nighthawk r7000....I like to get the best router due to having high traffic on my network. I have really high bandwidth on my internet provider and like to capitalize with the best possible router. Also, we game a lot on xbox live and currently stream tons of movies, download and share internet with neighbor.

What about the new Linksys EA6900? It is coming out in a couple of weeks

well my belkin router bit the dust over the weekend and really can't wait....so the two I listed are ones I'm interested due to availability. I searched and really can't find any reviews on the asus but cnet gave it higher benchmarks than the r7000. I know netgear is a great brand and many friends I have trust in them but the new asus looks better on paper....

What is interesting is that the review on Small Net Builder regards the R7000 being slightly better. They also refer to the R7000 as the better choice for streaming. I've had the Asus ac68u pre-ordered on Amazon, but I now may go with the R7000.

As you can see in my sig, I went for the Asus. No complaints from me so far!

I'm sure the R7000 is just as good though
