Hello there guys thanks to those who have taken the time to read this thread I have some questions about my pc and a problem I can't get my head around!

So recently my pc has been acting up and I am not sure why? So when using the pc it's perfectly fine but once I turn it off and on again it won't turn back on for around 2 hours the only thing that does come on is the graphics cards LEDS I am really not sure what it's doing so I just turn it off but when I do turn it of the fan lights flick on as if it's fused or something! I thought it would be the power supply but why would it run fine when turned on?

Well anyway if anyone can help would be greatly appreciated.

Specs -
I5-4670k
Gtx 970 msi
500w corsair power supply
8gb vengeance ram

Pc is about 2 years old but I have upgraded ram and graphics card since the start of this year.

Hope this makes sense.

Solution
That activity would have me believe the issue has to do with power. Either your PSU is dying (if CX500, that's likely) or, your VRM on the motherboard is failing. Two things to check; 1) Look over the motherboard for any leaky or swollen capacitors, 2) Try a known working PSU in there.
