Hello everyone. I recently received a pre-built system about a month ago, and long story short, I do not feel the AMD stock cooler can support much OC if I raised the FSB/Multiplier though bios (achieving about 4.0Ghz or 4.2 Ghz). And for performance and cosmetic reasons, I want to add some new fans to create a better case airflow. I am quite n00by, so bear with me.

Reason I am asking this wonderful community is that I am not sure if my desire new CPU heatsink/cooler would fit in my case. As we know, the stock AMD cooler sounds like a bulldozer (excuse the pun) at high speed.

The case I have is the Aerocool X Warrior, with 488(H) x 187(W) x 520(D). And the heatsink in question is the Zalman CNPS10X Optima, with dimensions of 206 x 178 x 126. Link : http://www.aerocool.com.tw/2011/06-june/105.html . I would like to keep the cost for the CPU cooler under £30 or £20, if it is possible. Hence the listed Zalman.

As for my case fans, I plan to replace the stock Aerocool fans, with a 110 CFM Scythe 1900 at the rear, and 2 Xclio 256 colours 120mm link:http://www.scan.co.uk/products/120mm-xclio-256-colour-led-quiet-fan-clear-pc-gloss-vr-speed-led-on-off-set-1500rpm at the front (for the adjustable colours as well as balance), with one of the Xclio powered down half way to make up a total of 100 CFM at the front. This will create an even/slight negative pressure to the case, which is what I want. Because the case has no top vent, I am limited to only one exhaust fan...

Now my main concern is, as you can guess, budget and noise level. Is there a cooler/quieter AND cheaper alternative I'm missing? Or should I just get the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO? Would that even fit? Any suggestions are welcomed. (Except the Zalman Flower coolers..... I want one.... But let's just say I can't get them. lol)

Now, am I approaching this whole thing wrong? If so, please do advise me. And if the CPU cooler does not fit, can anyone suggest to me a cheap, quiet CPU cooler that would? Also, is there a better alternative to the exhaust Scythe 1900?

(I also really want to upgrade my GPU, which is currently a slightly OC'd XFX 6670 DDR3 2 GB. (I know, scammed). But as I am running the Cooler Master 500w (Only 70% efficiency, I know. Scammed again.), I can not afford both the PSU and a new GPU. But if anyone has advice on a worthy upgrade from the 6670, please do tell me. (Preferably without replacing the PSU, as if I do, I would go for a 560 ti Boost or something) )

Thank you for reading all this. And any help would be much appreciated.

My current set up as of now for reference :

CPU : AMD FX6200 6 core @ 3.8GHz (Stock Cooler)
RAM : Crucial DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz (probs?) 4GB x2
HDD : Hitachi 1TB and a WD Caviar Green 1TB (WD converted from external drive)
Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
PSU : Cooler Master 500w (sigh.....)
Case : Aerocool X Warrior (1 stock fan in front, 1 at rear)

EDIT : I forgot to mention, I am unable to remove my stock heatsink! I have spun the level, and unhooked the hook on the lever side. But I can't seem to be able to unhook the far side! What am I doing wrong? I have tried to budge it with the "spring" by pushing the unlocked side.... still can't unhook the other side. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!!!

EDIT 2 : I almost forgot to say that I want the coolers to intake air from the front to rear, not bottom to top, since I have no top vents.

What about the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (120mm)? Would that fit? I have heard that it's sometimes too tall for the mid tower cases. Also, would it fit on AM3+ horizontally? (Intake front, not intake from bottom)

Thank you!

I just checked the Rosewill Challenger case, and it IS that 2mm larger than my Aerocool. Should I risk it....?

Also, I'm hearing that the CM Hyper 212 Evo sometimes cannot fit horizontally (intake front, not bottom) on the AM3+ board. Can anyone confirm this?

And if I really shouldn't take a chance with the Evo due to the size constraint, does anyone have a good suggestion for a quiet/cheap heatsink? (preferably easy to install...?)

Thanks!
