Please help, Trio 4G AXS Tablet locked by a druggie who also stole the sim card - how can I reset it?

Just as the title says. She made it so that I have to enter some numerical code to use the tablet, and she removed the sim card. There's no explanation I can find on the net as to how to reset the tablet and erase that thing. And yes, I know without the sim card I've lost my free 200mb of data transfer for life use, for now at least. It uses android 4.2.2. If any of you are going to explain how to unlock it, or reset it rather, please be very clear with your explanation.
