Hello, this is my first post on here so if i've dont anything wrong please tell me so i can fix it :)

Okay so im trying to run a VM - virtualbox and i keep getting the error

VT-x/AMD-V hardware acceleration is not available on your system. Certain guests (e.g. OS/2 and QNX) require this feature and will fail to boot without it.

And i need to enable virtuilisation in my BIOS settings so i attempted to do so but i can't find the virtualization setting in my BIOS menu, ive been trying since yesterday.

Im using insydeh20 rev 3.7 BIOS menu if you need any more info or pictures of my bios i can provide.

- I have also checked and my PC can handle hardware virtualization.

Thanks :)

Solution

That only shows what the processor supports, not what is currently enabled. So yes, that means nothing.

There are several you can try: https://www.davescomputers.com/support-seven-alternatives-virtualbox/

However, there's still no guarantee that any of them will run without VT-x or AMD-V enabled in BIOS (which your system lacks the ability to do)

So does this mean nothing :(

Also is there any other virtual machine I can use?

"No hardware virtualization required. For many scenarios, VirtualBox does not require the processor features built into newer hardware like Intel VT-x or AMD-V. As opposed to many other virtualization solutions, you can therefore use VirtualBox even on older hardware where these features are not present. The technical details are explained in the section called “Hardware vs. software virtualization”.
If so then what parts can you recommend for when i get my gaming pc so that this does not happen again. - From another post I've encountered.

Thank you
