No issues with changing the board

but the ASUS with the A85 chipset has more features . They may not be important to you so its hard to comment

The antec psu is a decent unit but its not 80+ rated
A corsair cx 430 is , and its cheaper too

I heard apu works better with faster ram, so try getting something like ddr3 2133 or faster.

what features exactly in a85 that a55 does not have? So I can see if I really need it or not, Coz' I didn't have enough time to read each and every features for both mobo's as this spec was only quoted to me. 😀

hmmmm.... maybe between 15.6" & 18.5" monitor, it won't go past 21.5"

at the very least would be 1280x720.

On 720p, you should be able to you your games. On 1080p, not even close for some of them.

A55 has 6 SATA ports at 3 Gbits, A85 has as many as 8 at 6Gbits . This is probably only important if you want to use more than 6 hard drives or you want to use an SSD
[ A55e hss faster SATA ports too]

A85 has built in USB3 , A55 does not

Im fairly sure you can run two cards in crossfire on some A85 motherboards too , but not on A55

The faster RAM recommendation above was valid. An APU does best with the fastest RAM you can throw at it unlike a traditional CPU. DDR3 2133 is not that much more than 1866 and will give you a decent performance boost.

This is cas 9 and should be very nice paired with an APU. $65.
