Hi. I've got a NZXT H510 case that comes with two Aer F120 (Case Version) fans installed to exhaust. I'd like to upgrade to a better 120mm in back and to a better 140mm at the top. I've never bought fans before but I'm guessing I can get decent fans for about $20-25 each?

I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

What are you looking for in fans? (Quiet/(A)RGB/Color/etc)

I replaced the fans in my H500 for CM RGB versions (2-140 in the front for intake, 1-140 up top as exhaust and the 1-120 in the rear as exhaust). They weren't the quietest but were fairly cheap.

Depending on the CHA_Fan ports on the motherboard you may need a fan controller. The 3-pack RGB fans I bought came with one so it worked out well.

Quiet:

Some people may recommend PWN for the ability to control the speed but at 15.5 dB @59.5 CFM I don't really think it's for it for the extra $3 cost as they are going to be really quiet.

I personally have used and enjoy Uphere 120mm case fans and Corsair CO-9050019-WW Air Series SP120.

They are pretty good for the money.

Thanks for the suggestions. I should have mentioned that I'd like 4-pin fans so I could better control them, I don't need any RGB and not too concerned about looks, and I'd like a compromise between moving a lot of air and noise. I can read the CFM and dB stats like anyone else but I've found that decisions never seem to be as cut-and-dried as that!

In the end its only a couple of sub-$30 fans but I'd like to go into it with my eyes open.

Thanks for the tip but I dont think static pressure are what I want (but I'm not sure). I will have ZERO intake fans on this; only 1x120mm for back exhaust and 1x140mm for top exhaust. RGB and related bling are not necessary--I'm hoping that the money I save on that will buy me some extra CFM at a decent noise level.
