Hello,

This is Divij here. Since the last 2 weeks i have been deciding to buy a pc and have searched the internet for clues as to which parts i want. I have obtained a loan of around 70000Rs/- (I live in India).

Whenever i go on google to find an answer to a question about computers, i always get this website on the 1st page :)

I have used it several times to modulate my requirements and have come up with the following components for my P.C. Please rate the same.

VERY IMPORTANT : I WILL BE GAMING AND STREAMING ON YOUTUBE AND TWITCH at 1080p

CPU + Motherboard : Intel core i5 8400 + Gigabyte H310

GPU : MSI GTX 1060 3gb (i changed it from 1050ti oc cause of this site :))

HDD : 1 TB sata seagate

RAM : 8 GB DDR4

PSU : Corsair CX450 (i changed it from low quality options cause of this site)

Monitor : 22" Dell LED (E2218HN)

Mouse : Corsair Harpoon

Keyboard : TVS Gold USB Mechanical

Headphone : Hyper X Cloud Stinger

Webcam : Logitech C270

Mic : None

Cabinet : SUGGEST (Corsair Carbide Series?)

O.S. : Windows 10 Home edition

Internet connection : 20 MBPS

Let us say i had 100 $ more to spend, what changes would i make. (I dont want to buy SSD for now)
Are there any blaring errors in my configuration? (choke points, incompatibility etc.)

Thanks in advance.

Solution
120 GB SSD's are likewise becoming low end. 256 GB minimum SSD if you can budget accordingly.

Should work fine with any motherboard.
agreed, but i need to start streaming and earn the money to then get the ssd.

also, i would particularily like recommendations regarding my motherboard, PSU and cabinet.

would the CX500 or CX550 do? I have been told that the most important issue with PSU is the 12 volt channel and that is remedied by the bronze rating.....do you disagree?

I would go with a CX550(make sure its not the one with green lettering) or CX550M PSU, newegg actually has the CX550 on sale for 50 USD right now.

8GB of RAM is quickly becoming not enough for gaming so youll probably need to upgrade in the not so distant future to 16, but should be enough for most things still

The only other thing I would maybe thing about is going with a Ryzen 2600 instead of the i5 8400 since you will be doing streaming primarily. I believe the Rzyen does a better job of streaming while gaming then the Intel does however the Intel does better for just gaming.

ok, ill go with the cx550. btw if i goto newegg website and look at the price (it is shown as 3500Rs/-), does it include import charges as well?

i can upgrade my RAM anytime i want since there are atleast 2 slots, so that isnt an imediate concern.

I went for Intel for the reason you stated........cause im going to game on this pc.

I have decided to go for the following ssd:
https://www.amazon.in/SanDisk-120GB-Solid-State-Drive/dp/B01F9G414U/

what type of ssd is it? And can my motherboard use it optimally? If not what is a motherboard you will recommend?

I have decided to go for the following cabinet + psu: Corsair Carbide Series CC-9011050-WW Mid-Tower Steel Gaming Case with Red LED (Black) + Antec NE 550M

Are there any other changes that you will recommend?
