Well, after shotgunning the repairs to my main system, I find myself with too many good parts to just them gather dust and want to use them to build a purely gaming MITX system. I have everything on hand but for the GPU and a case. Given the parts below, what GPU do y'all recommend?
The Parts:
CPU: I7-4690K (Will do first time overclocking)
GPU: Need your suggestions
MB: GA-Z97N-WIFI
Memory: 16GB AData ddr3 kit (listed on qualified memory list)
System & Programs Drive: Samsung 256GB SSD
Storage: Samsung 512GB SSD
PSU: Corsair RM750x
Case: TBD, but seriously considering Thermaltake Core V1
Monitor: TBD, but looking for 1440p, curved, 30"+
Notes:
Primary use will be gaming at 1440p...AAA titles such as heavily modded Skyrim, etc.etc. Looking for 60-100 Hz, and high detail levels.
PSU note: Sending great thanks to Corsair. They replaced my failed AX750 with no receipt (lost it over about 5 years) with an RM750x at no cost and prepaid shipping!
I KNOW I am building a system which is obsolete even before it is assembled...but I am too frugal to not use all those parts I already have!
SO: What the the optimum GPU to use with that I7-4690K???
