Plextor vs Creative?

Since apparently the Creative drive [121032] is just a rebadged Plextor [12x] does anyone know which one is the better buy? Because right now the Creative drive is on special [$100A less than the Plextor] and i was wondering if it would be a good buy, especially comparing to that my drive of choice would have been the Plextor. Suggestions anyone? Thanks

Make sure about creative being a plextor. If so don't count out Teac's 12/10/32. I have a plextor and a teac they both work wonderful. I have played q3 while burning cds. All of them flawless! Not to mention the speed is nice. Plextor came with really good software, I'm sure the creative comes with good software too. I would shop it if the Creative is a plexi and it comes with good software compare it to teac's.

Not true. Simply uses similar OEM mechanism. Plextor leaves the Creative and most other drives in it's dust.

No question, buy a Plextor.

Very fast, compatible with everything, burn on anything.
