dis old b=ut i doint care i copy and paste from my other post
My way of fixing this is quite complicated.
1. Unplug the micro usb from your computer (while the micro usb and controller are still connected) and plug it into your xbox.
2. Load up a game and leave it there (you can play if you want) .
3. Go back to your computer and unplug it from a power source or just flip a switch in the back if you have one.
4. Go afk or play a game for around 20 minutes.
5. Once around 20 minutes is over go and unplug the controller from your xbox (make sure the micro usb cable and controller are still connected together) and plug it back into your computer (use the same port that you used before when your controller worked)
6. Connect your computer back to the power and turn your pc on.
&. The light on your controller should be on once you are on your password screen.
