What i mean by the title, is that, i have a StarTech USB to 3.5/2.5in SATA/IDE Converter.

When i plug in another harddrive, it detects it as it should and loads up as a mass storage.

However, when i plug in the hard drive im trying to connect, everything to do with viewing it crashes, for instance, diskpart doesn't work. Create and format partitions crashes. File explorer crashes. When i plug it in, but don't use power, it detects the drive, obviously i cant access it though. Also, when i disconnect the usb, for a tiny split second, in create and format partition, i am able to see the harddrive and its partitions, however neither of the partitions have labels anymore.

HERES HOW THIS STARTED:
I was trying to dual boot linux with windows 10, and as this isn't fully operational at the moment, i was playing with the partition. i managed to install linux, and it said to reboot. So i did, and then windows wouldn't load up, neither would linux or anything, the computer hard drive has become seriously slow, but booting from a linux live usb DOES work. However once ive loaded up linux live, it can't install it doesn't get past the second part.

So, this is all of it.

Nailing it down a bit. Some how, from the linux live USB. trying Linux Mint, with this hard drive. For about 5-10 minutes, all drives were detected, but the 574gb partition which has windows 10 installed on was not able to be opened/mounted, however the other partitions which were clean were able to be. But then ofcourse, they crashed and can't detect any partitions. So, its a corrupted windows partition if i am right? How can i completely clean these if it won't let me access anything to be able to do so.
