Plus that's an Intel CPU and board, so the AMD FX was never even a possibility to start with.

There is no way you're going to get out of this cheap. You need a new motherboard, CPU and RAM. Your current motherboard uses DDR2 and most current boards use DDR3, with the obvious exception of a few new boards that use DDR4. The FX series CPU's don't work with DDR2 either.

This is about as cheap as it's going to get and still be a good upgrade. IF you plan to overclock, do NOT use this setup. You would need a better board, the Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P would be a good choice for a budget overclock. You would also need to add a Hyper 212 EVO cpu cooler, if you wanted something you can overclock. If not, this is fine below...

You know, probably not. Probably it will be good for medium settings until you can get a better card down the road. Like I said before, getting a better card with the other hardware you have is pointless because it won't keep up with a faster card. So if you get a good card FIRST, it will do you no good and you will STILL have to upgrade the other hardware before you see any improvement. If you get the hardware FIRST, you can use the card you have now, will probably see SOME improvement for now and can get a better card later which will allow you to achieve high settings.

Upgrade hardware first, graphics card later. Or all at once if you can.

i dont have the card running at stock its running on

core clock 900
memory clock 1325 ( i can go higher to 900/1400 mybe higher )
whit 1250 core voltage ( from msi afterburner )
running on 60 % fan speed full load it is about 50-60 Celsius

so actully its a pritty good card for today prices ( i think ) whit the overclocks and i never had problems whit the card
( only the failed overclocks ) my highest wher i can let run the card on is 950/1400 whitout problems so
thats a 33% overclock and i have get 5-10 more fps whit the overclock So i like this card pritty mutch

( whit that overclock its simulair to a hd 7*** series its like 30 % better than a hd 6750 a game compare site say )
