I was originally planning on getting the 1070, but someone I know is selling his reference PNY 980ti and offering me £290. I've not seen any near this price on ebay or online, would anyone take this deal?

I'm pretty much thinking about the £'s here, I currently have x2 GTX 760's in SLI.

Well 290 pounds is about $388 US dollars, which is about what a GTX 1070 will go for once the hype settles down (3-6 months and not including tax, of course). Although the 1070 is only 5-10% faster, it also uses about 50% less electricity and would come with a full 3-year warranty. Plus, as new drivers are released the performance gap will probably grow... and the 1070 has 8GB VRAM, the 980 TI has 6 GB. Not really needed now, but it's a bit of "future-proofing", right?

Be patient, the 1070 is definitely the better deal for you, and surely your GTX 760 SLI setup is serving you well at the moment!
