PC was lagging and freezing when i did that test. does the same when i install new stuff or try to transfer files. Is there a fix or am i going to have to send it in for a replacement. Thanks in advance for advice.

Sounds like a faulty SSD. Is the firmware up to date? See http://www.thessdreview.com/daily-news/latest-buzz/pny-updates-ssd-firmware-to-higher-performing-505-lsi-sandforce-release/

From what I've read, PNY should have about 500mb/s read speeds and 250 mb/s write speeds

Just says preparing. PC starts lagging and wont open firefox. Or takes forever to open other programs when I run it. same with AS SSD benchmark. First 4 months had no issues with it like this.

Well the hdd runs at normal rates. I game on this build constantly and never overheated.

Did you ever figure this out? I have a PNY 120gb SSD that appears to have just failed when I tried to re-install windows 7 on a different SSD. At first my PNY SSD sort of worked but my computer kept freezing up when I did certain things and I couldn't do anything with that drive. My Bios will still recognize it but windows does not. It shows up in My Computer but there's nothing there. And I mean nothing, not that it's just empty. It says "E" drive then to the right is completely blank.

Sadly no. I've tried everything. I sent in an RMA since its only a year old. Waiting for a response with their department. 3 year warranty as long as you have the receipt or invoice.
