So pretty much this has been racking my brain for the past couple of weeks. I have an issue where my PNY CS1311 240gb SSD will just randomly crash my entire PC, then on the reboot it gives me the error of no boot device available. Well to fix this I've found to take off the case panel, go to the SSD and push in the sata cable a little bit reboot and everything is fine. I've also tested the SSD with multiple programs ranging from WD's lifeguard, to a number of free ones. Well the SSD is fine, healthy and there is nothing wrong with it. Is it the sata cable? It's not the motherboard connection I know that much, the other drives work just fine, my disk drive works, all the sata devices work on the mother boards end. But every single time I push in the sata cable on the SSD it magically works. I do not want to RMA this to PNY as I've seen from reviews and heard from some friends it takes at least a month for them to get a new one to you. Regardless has anyone had this issue before? Should i try and new sata cable?

Solution
SSD has a long time usage when used normally (not as storage unit). It can hold up from 5 years to unknown. So while you can RMA it, why not doing it now while it still under warranty. A troublesome unit from the start must have something wrong with it, why fixated with those problem compared with 1 month time replacement. Imagine if this will keep haunting you like indefinitely.

If you have other sata cable, try using it. Sacrifice DVD rom or HDD just for test. Never assume every other part is fine. I found myself feel stupid when a problem happened to me before the the only solution is to clean the ram connection using pencil eraser. Yeah, for real.

Also try to new window install, not half asses repair. Sometime the problem lies in...

My pc last night just keep restarting and I found help from others that all I have to do is turn off the fast start up and the restart just stop. My motherboard seem to have problem with fast start up, it also happen in bios "ultra fast start up". Installing the wondow won't take much time now. I did mine like 15 minutes for the basic window 10, the rest installation can be done while you watching movies or music.

After you tried everything and the problem still exist, RMA it.

Great advice, I'm going to try a fresh install, new sata cable, and see if that works. I have an RMA open with them at the moment, so if anything happens within the 30 days, I'm going to RMA the thing. But I'm going to try all of these things and if it doesn't work I believe I'll RMA and never buy another PNY product, nothing but trouble so far with them.
