Found this card on Best Buy's web site for $187.49. Newegg doesn't seem to
have a PNY card, but the ones they have are all over $200. Is there some
reason that the PNY card is cheaper, or is Best Buy just offering a great
deal?

They are running a sale. 25% off all PNY video cards. I thought it was good
until you figure out the tax and the shipping. In my case it came out to be
around $205 total. Because of that it would be better getting a different brand
at a slightly higher price IMO. Right now I think I have settled on the MSI
6600GT. It had some trouble with the heatsink coming off, but that has been
fixed with a bar on the back not I believe.

Here are my reasons for picking the MSI;

1) Price is reasonable around $220

2) It comes with a lot of software.

3) It has VIVO (most other brands don't have this feature)

4) The heatsink covers the memory (most other brands don't even cool the
memory)

5) The heatsink is huge and copper (good cooling)

6) It's very quiet compared to the other brands

7) Looks like it would be easy to mod the cooling, so it runs even cooler

I also suggest the minute you get the card to stress test it for at least 24
hours. Usually if the card is not gonna last it will show its faults during the
stress testing. If it manages the 24 hours, it will most likely last a long
time. Most defective computer hardware will usually show up within 24 hours of
stress testing.

Yup yup yup I been bombarding my Leadtek 6600 agp with benchmarks for hours
and hours to test stability and playing games with max settings and so far
so good.

Did you finally get the card from that place that listed it for $139?

I'm gonna stress my new MSI a long time, and then get around to modding it a
little bit.
