Hello,

I am currently suffering from this strange issue from my motherboard (Asrock Z77 OC Formula) that is nearly 2 months old. The bios is rock solid, no weird behavior everything is performing as it should EXCEPT the graphics output. I had excellent picture and video quality from my HD 6970 when it had been paired with Intel DP55KG (via pci-e 2.0 ports of course). Now with this mobo via pci-e 3.0 port the color quality is nowhere near my previous setup.

One worth mentioning thing here is i got big jump in graphics quality after upgrading my media series board DP55WG to DP55KG (which is an extreme series) while i was in 1156 platform. I have always been thinking (until now) that graphics quality is solely dependent upon graphics card. Can you guys pls help me out whether one of you having same issue or is it me doing anything wrong.

I was a little low on budget thats why i couldn't switch to maximus v formula in the first place. But if the problem is with quality mobo component then would it be wise to switch to the later ?

Thank you in advance

Indeed I am. Pushing the saturation limit towards 200 (currently 142) in catalyst make things little better than worse. I sold my 6970 yesterday to have a 7970ghz in mind. But like I said, something I've lost that I had with intel extreme mobo.

you have to install updated drivers on your PC. you can install the drivers from DRP software which build the drivers automaticaly and install also. Maybe Your Motherboard graphic will be surely increase. you should also try a Internal Graphic card for better experience.

if the internal graphics mean intel HD 4000, I've tried that already last evening. Things are even worse. Because the display control panel only have contrast, brightness and gamma correction settings along with a YCbCr check box to enable/disable. No saturation or video optimization and no nothing that intel graphics has to offer. The picture quality degraded like deep purple liquid lose its color completely after being added with more water. This is exactly what happened to my color. This could mean that the drivers were fine.

I mean't to say about internal graphic card you should purchase a Nvidia or zotac Graphic card for increase the value of Memory. This will be increase the performance of Picture quality and much more. I understand all things you are saying that your motherboard with integrated graphic. but let me tell you integrated graphic only approx 64 to128mb. if you increase this so you have to purchase a graphic card which will be plug in PCI slot of your motherboard. Second about your Picture quality so you should refresh or check the driver setting of previous or present. your problem will be solve.

Hello, as mentioned in another thread i just had my sapphire vapor x 7970 ghz ed. Currently having issues with video playback. Couldnt test lot of game other than skyrim which ran pretty good @ max. I,ve tried hot persuit too. but the smoothness was not there. HD video ran awesome in intel 4000 but i dont know whats happening here. I updated the driver to 13.5 beta 2. still no luck.
