Hello fellow PC Master race members. I've been having issues with my pc, mainly with gaming performance but also just general load times and such. I currently have a AND FX 8350 black edition, GeForce GTX 960, 8gb (2x 4gb sticks) of quality RAM (sorry unsure of brand) and an adequate 800w PSH (also unsure of brand, sorry:(). My buddy who I game with is running practically the same system, same GPU, he's got a GeForce GTX 970, quality RAM at 16gb I believe and a good PSH. I guess I'm just trying to figure out why my games are performing horribly next to his. He is running Battlegrounds at a stable 60-70 fps on moderate settings and I'm struggling to stay above 20-25 on lowest possible. My load times are also 3-4x longer than his. He will be sitting in the lobby for 5-6 minutes before I even get into the game. Any and all advice would be welcome! And I can provide more info if that's needed as well. Thank you!!

Solution
Though you'd think there wouldn't be much difference between a GTX 970 and a GTX 960 based on the numbering scheme, there is a world of difference. His 970 is a much more powerful card than your 960, so it's no wonder that his framerates are better.

Load times are usually a function of disk speed, or in the case of online games, internet speed. Perhaps he has an SSD that can load levels much faster than your disk.

Solution
your buddies has double the ram, which means a much smaller hard drive " swap" file, equates to faster loads times as well because of lower hard drive access.. also the 970 is Much more powerful than the 960, on a side by side comparison, (show below)
