Hi all,

I've noticed that when i forward ANY port on my router (TL-WR741ND) the internet (wired connection) suddenly slows down 6 times (from 30mbps to 5mpbs).

How is that possible?

Or am i configuring it wrong?

E.g.:

Trigger Port: 45000
Trigger Protocol: TCP
Incoming Ports: 45000
Incoming Protocol: TCP
Status: enable

This configuration slows down internet 6 times.

Thank you all.

Yep, port forwarding is through Virtual Servers on TP-Links. Unknown why port triggering would cause a speed issue, unless there is traffic on the port immediately after opening.

For the OP: you may want to try forwarding through Virtual Servers instead, unless you have a specific need for port triggering.
It looks like you went through the port triggering setup. I can't tell from the docs if that is the correct way to do port forwarding on that router of if you go through the virtual servers setup.

That router is also supported by DD-WRT alternative firmware. You might have better luck with alternative firmware.
