Hi,

I'm trying to setup Port Forwarding on D-link DWR 512.

I have webcam on 192.168.0.50 on port 8888 which is connected on DWR-512 via ethernet cable. I need to open it so I can access that cam via Internet.

I did try to add "Virtual Server" but that is not working. It's still not letting traffic from Internet to the cam.

Am I doing something wrong or I need to set some other settings?

this is how my settings look.

Thanks,
Tom

Are you using your public IP address when attempting to access your webcam?

Do you get an error message when attempting to connect to the webcam?

Yes I'm using public address to attempt to access webcam via mobile phone or another computer.

I can access webcam when I'm on my home network.

I just get connection timeout when I try to access it from other location than my home.

check firewall
check the schedule rules you set

use netstat -a in a command line to see what ports are in use.
find a port in use, add it to your port forwarding temporarily and go back to canyouseeme to see if it can see it.

Found the problem.

Problem was that this router uses SIM card as access to Internet. And Mobile networks by default don't allow port forwarding. I contacted them and they kindly unblocked all ports and now Port forwarding is working as it should.

Thanks!

cam is also using 8888 port, so that was ok. Problem was in mobile network not allowing this custom port settings...after they changed setting on their side everything is working correctly.
