Hello all. I have an ASUS RT-AC87U router and a D-LINK modem. I read somewhere that I only have to port forward on the router but that doesn't seem to work. Whatever I do the ports I forward are still closed. I read somewhere that I have to use my router as access point but I don't know how to do that. I also tried to port forward on the modem but that doesn't seem to work either, maybe there is an IP issue. In both modem/router the firewall is closed, so no issue there. Can someone help me to open my ports? My asus router says the internet type is automatic IP, if that helps.

as i know you need static IP on your router to port forward (someone correct me if thats nonsense)
in that line of though you cant forward toy your pc (internal IP) as each time you connect to the internet your IP is different
You should doublecheck if you have Static IP given by your ISP or you connect with account and password to the internet
