I have tried port forwarding for this server however whenever I put in my default gateway I get sent to HG8244H but the problem here is that when I look for port forwarding I can't find it!!! I looked everywhere but the only thing I see that is remotely similar to what it's supposed to be is Port Triggering and Port Mapping. I would also like to add that if I reset the router while connected to it if I put in the default gateway I would instead be transported to a completely different router settings page and completely different UI despite it still being Singtel, I then did some more research and saw people using that same website that I had a few seconds access to with the ability to port forward but all the videos I've seen with that webpage were recorded in 2017 so I was wondering if maybe they updated it however that seems pretty unlikely considering that would mean it was a MAJOR downgrade anyway I've been trying for hours so any form of help is welcome!

The ISP can have custom firmware images built on these type of devices. Every image I find for that router or similar ones show a port forwarding tab on the top. I will assume you are not blind and the tab has been removed. Not sure why they would remove it but many ISP remove things to make their support easier. Keeps them form having to deal with stupid people who messed up the router configuration.

Before you get real far check the IP in the wan tab. You need to see if you have a public IP. If you do not then it does not matter since port forwarding will never work. You can either look up what a public IP means or you can compare the ip on your wan screen to what sites like whatsmyip show. They must be the same for...
This:

" I put in the default gateway I would instead be transported to a completely different router settings page and completely different UI "

If I follow correctly you factory reset the router - correct?

That means the router is now back to its' default settings and any administrative configurations that you made before the reset are gone.

Do verify that the link is correct or otherwise a match for your router.

You can either look up what a public IP means or you can compare the ip on your wan screen to what sites like whatsmyip show. They must be the same for your IP to be public, if not there is another router translating the ip addresses and any port forwarding would need to be done in that router.

If you have a public IP see if there is a option to put the device into bridge mode. You may have to call your ISP and have them do it. You can then buy any router you like and use their box as a simple fiber to ethernet converter
