so ive recently started having problem portforwarding with my SBG6580. ever since they switched to there ARRIS webpage. ive done it befor and ive hosted mutiple servers. but ever since they switched i cant seem to figure it out ive googled it followed guides.. and still nothing all the settings shows that it should be working. but it just doesnt. is there a setting in the router itself. i have to switch. so it ALLOWS the traffic to go threw it? ive tried resetting it to default just doesnt work.. so i have to be missing something

UPDATE! - i called my ISP and asked for a new router! hopefully they bring me one that aint so old! and it will allow me to port forward! i think maybe there is something wrong with this one!

Solution
ISP love to give you these Gateways these days. Gateway=modem+NAT+WIFI+switch, and it sounds very convenient until you want to tweak it. I.e. some settings are locked out by the ISP and not user configurable, for this reason I want them to give me a plain modem, and I use my own router, all under my control, and customize as I wish.
