Hi, I am having some issues with my fps in multiple games, mostly the Total war series, Medieval 2, Rome 1 and Empire, also noticed a lowered performance in Watch dogs. It happened all of a sudden with the fps getting lower in my games. Battlefield 4 and 3 plays real good though, but as I've understood they don't use quite so much Cpu as it does Gpu.
Anyway, in Rome 1 i get below 30 fps in a large battle, 6000 men, with no difference in settings, barely. Same in Medieval 2 and Empire with the fps going below 30 on lowest. I'm just wondering what i could possibly do about this issue, could it be my motherboard at fault? Or the Cpu?

Edit: Gpu temps during gaming, 65-74c during Bf4, Vsync on.
Cpu temps up to 58c socket temp with an ambient temp of 27c
Core rarely exceeds 50c.

Specs

M5a99Fx pro 2.0
Fx 8350 4.0Ghz
Msi Gtx 770.
8 Gb Ballistix 1600mhz.

It is the 212 EVO i have.
Well it was indeed a 2.0 port, and i noticed no difference at all in fps, odd..
Also when the core temp went up to 98 degrees, it happened in a second, so i don't really believe it went up to those degrees, amd sensors are quite bad up intil over 45 but after that they are fine. And well, from 50 to 98 in one second must indicate some kind or error not real temps am I right?

Maybe, you could try watching those temps with another software, I always use like 3 just in case but is odd that you can´t OC that cpu to 4.4Ghz with that cooler but those volts are on the low side, my fx 6300 is at 4.3Ghz with 1.38v, stock was like 1.36v if I recall correctly.

Still having real fps issues in Total war games. I have now tried Shogun 2 also, and it has exactly this bad fps that is in all the other Total war games, lowest settings i get 50 fps, ultra i get 30 fps. I'm just feeling that it has something to do with the Cpu. The graphics card seems to be functioning as it works fine in Metro last light, BF4 and BF3 and that's where it uses the gpu fully. In Shogun 2 for example i get 20% gpu usage, around... Still believe I'm supposed to get much more fps?

There are so many games out there that I can't seem to be able to play, world of tanks, total war series, Men of war - vietnam, i mean come on I didn't spend this much money to be unable to play games like Medieval 2, which btw worked awesome on my old Phenom 1090t? I'm just hoping someone can come up with any ideas to why this is happening? As i said I have previously ran Rome 2 pretty decent until one day it was real bad. The other games I have not tried. The most of the issue is when zooming in in total war games.

I'm not really that good with computers but as I have understood a CPU just can't go bad like that, when it wouldn't work at all?
But the motherboard could actually be spooking with the cpu usage and stuff am i right?

Dude, you try too hard. There are plenty of modern titles that will 'max out' a CPU. BF3 had my A10 running at 99%. Regarding Vsynce, is does LOCK the frame rate to match the refresh rate of your monitor. Most monitors are at 60hz, which will cap your frames to sixty.

For the rest of your comments, you seem to be in your own world and just interpreted my comments out of context to fit your perception. So I won't even comment on that.

Still having some real issues in many games, for example Red orchestra 2 uses 100% on the first core and not too much on the others. And it is laggy and choppy (fps drops, yes)
