Hi, I have a gigabyte 980ti windforce, I'm having issues since reinstalling it where the pc wouldn't boot. I got a blue screen when booting with some vga error, cant remember the exact, then after this error I would get constant blue screen with critical access error. My only fix was to install windows 10 fresh. Once installed, but not updated I downloaded the latest nvidia drivers and began installing to the point it started installing graphics driver, keep in mind I'm still using my 980ti for display with no issue using the windows basic display adapter. After a few seconds of driver install it black screens with blue square's, restart gets to windows logo but after few seconds freezes with blue squares, can still see windows logo in background. Is my card done? Seems to work fine until I try to install the driver. AS of now im just using onboard graphics.

Solution
Yes likely a bad card, maybe power supply also. Test it in another system with a known good power supply, if issue follows card, card is bad.
Thanks for the reply hang-the-9. I have a pretty decent psu, evga 650g2, while it still could fail like any other psu I think you're right, the cards dead 🙁 such a shame but tis life.
