So I was gaming and within a second I had no video output and the pc restarted, but still no video output (GPU still received power, RGB was on but no fan spin).
(No weird noises, no smoke, no smell)
Using the integrated GPU of my CPU I managed to get into the bios and discovered that the system didn't recognize the GPU anymore, it claims the socket is empty.
I tried reseating it - no change.
So obviously my question whether it's a lost cause or if there's anything else I could try.

System: I5 6500, Radeon Sapphire Rx 470 4Gb, running on Win10, no updates in the last 10 Days

Edit: GPU not yet tested on a different bench
Edit2: it's a Sapphire Nitro Rx 470 and these symptoms indicate that there is either a faulty transistor or a short
