Hello,

I have been ignoring this BSOD for the past 2 days until it became so frequent that my PC is almost unusable.
I just want to gather details on what are the possible Hardware issues that cause BSOD?
I did all possible troubleshooting like:
*Updating all drivers ( chipset, processor, gpu drivers)
*Tried sfc/ scannow which I'm not sure if it really did something.
*Tried deep scanning my 2 SSD and 1 HDD using HDTune but didn't show any problems.
*Tried System Restore.
*Tried completely Re-installing the windows 10
I'm not able to take note of every BSOD error code since it's just too fast that it automatically reboot on its own after BSOD.
By the way, I'm not doing any overclocking, I also tried monitoring my temperature and didn't see any abnormalities ( stable at 50-55°C 100% load for CPU / stable at 60 to 67°C 100 load for GPU)

Here's my specs if this will give more idea.
Ryzen 5 2600
240 AIO Liquid cooler
Aorus B450 Elite
2 x 8GB 3200Mhz RAM
AORUS GTX 1060 6GB
240GB M.2 SSD
120GB SATA SSD
2TB 7200RPM HDD
M12ii 520W Seasonic

I'm hopeless posting this question here and maybe somebody could give me more ideas on how to fix this. I appreciate any help.

Solution
the process that crashed is Windows Desktop Manager, its job is to sit between windows and the graphics card

although you have latest Nvidia drivers, try running DDU and reinstall them
Can you follow option one on the following link - here - and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD - that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD

  1. Open Windows File Explorer
  2. Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump
  3. Copy the mini-dump files out onto your Desktop
  4. Do not use Winzip, use the built in facility in Windows
  5. Select those files on your Desktop, right click them and choose 'Send to' - Compressed (zipped) folder
  6. Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.)
  7. Then post a link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you . . .

Hi!, Sorry it took me so long to get this file since I disassemble my PC and reassemble it after 2 days.

Hi, I ran the dump file through the debugger and got the following information: https://jsfiddle.net/ydkgx1jo/show This link is for anyone wanting to help. You do not have to view it. It is safe to "run the fiddle" as the page asks.

File information:032821-6906-01.dmp (Mar 27 2021 - 21:30:28)
Bugcheck:PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)
Probably caused by:memory_corruption (Process: dwm.exe)
Uptime:0 Day(s), 10 Hour(s), 13 Min(s), and 06 Sec(s)

Possible Motherboard page: https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-ELITE-rev-1x
You are using BIOS version F50. If you are using revision 1.x of the motherboard, then there are BIOS updates available. Wait for additional information before deciding to update or not. Important: Verify that I have linked to the correct motherboard. Updating your BIOS can be risky. Never try it when you might lose power (lightning storms, recent power outages, etc).

This information can be used by others to help you. Someone else will post with more information. Please wait for additional answers. Good luck.

Hello, Thank you for this, I got another BSOD error that may help identify what's really happening. Please check the link.

looks @gardenman , looks at his clock. Doesn't say a thing.

This one not so obvious

All the bios since your version mainly add features for newer cpu but no reason you couldn't update to latest. https://www.gigabyte.com/au/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-ELITE-rev-1x/support#support-dl-bios
I would update the chipset drivers first before upgrading bios - https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/b450 (although it appears you have recently as some parts of the AMD drivers are from January.

upgrade Ryzen master by choosing the update choice in its settings.

update these

Hello, I update the Chipset and Realtek just now, I'll keep track of this and see if the same issue happened, by the way, I notice that the BSOD also occurs every time an error happen with my Game Call of Duty Cold War, I'm also thinking the game might be doing something that causes the issue. Thank you once again. Stay safe

You may crash while playing certain games but its the victim, its actions might be setting off something else. Game files don't normally cause errors themselves, though they can make another driver crash. Its normally driver files that cause crashes, not exe files.

I see, that actually proves me wrong after getting another error while just browsing Facebook.

I'm almost giving up.
by the way, I'm not able to do the DDU since it's not letting me select options on the safe mode screen, the keyboard and mouse are totally off, and can't select f4 for safe mode. I also tried unplugging replugging it my kb/m and still not working unless i restart to get out from that screen.

So mouse/kb work in windows, just not windows recovery. Not sure how that works. its normally other way around.

right click start button
choose powershell (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter
once its completed, copy/paste this command into same window:

Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth
and press enter

SFC fixes system files, second command cleans image files, re run SFC if it failed to fix all files and restart PC

Without safe mode I can't really suggest 1 thing that might show driver to blame.
can you run this for me, it makes a zip file, just upload to same place as dumps and I see if it helps me at all.

By the way, I can't Thank you enough for giving me all these ideas on how to identify and fix the issue.

its odd to me that 2 problem devices are Standard PS2 Mouse & keyboard, I would expect they should be missing on most peoples PC now.
i wonder why they are showing, especially after what happened in trying to get to safe mode.
which of the ways to get into safe mode did you use?
Here is another way to try to get to Safe Mode.
Boot to the Command Prompt of your boot disk (see methods to create below). Enter these BOLD commands and press ENTER after each.

(Note the colon after C with no space; then the spaces which are important - one after T before / & T before { & } before B & Y before L)

C:

BCDEDIT /SET {DEFAULT} BOOTMENUPOLICY LEGACY

EXIT

You are back to the boot screen -> Shutdown the computer.

Boot back up and "immediately" start tapping F8 (That means power button - then F8).

Hopefully that should get you into Safe Mode.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To reverse that you can use the same steps and type these (again note spaces)

C:

BCDEDIT /SET {DEFAULT} BOOTMENUPOLICY STANDARD

Restart but F8 will not work now.

On another PC, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB

Thank you, I just have a question, does "Probably caused by:memory_corruption " mean my RAM is faulty? of it's a different memory thing?
Also, if the Crashing Driver is the Realtek, if I use a wifi adapter, will it prevent the Realtek from running and crashing? sorry I just don't have any idea.

It doesn't mean the RAM is the issue. Most dumps report "memory_corruption". It could mean RAM, it could mean that a driver changing something in RAM that it wasn't suppose to, or it could even mean the virtual memory (hard drive) is the issue. In this case, I would think it's the driver that was reported: rt640x64.sys.

Using another adapter may help. But you would still need to disable the Realtek one in Device Manager.

Got it, I will try and see if the same issue happens, I actually notice that it takes almost 5 minutes to detect the internet connection via Ethernet every time I boot my PC. could it be a symptom?

its funny you mention memory, as it seems odd to me the January drivers are to blame.
these drivers might fix it - https://www.realtek.com/en/componen...0-1000m-gigabit-ethernet-pci-express-software as latest appear to be from March.

Try running memtest86 on each of your ram sticks, one stick at a time, up to 4 passes. Only error count you want is 0, any higher could be cause of the BSOD. Remove/replace ram sticks with errors.
Memtest is created as a bootable USB so that you don’t need windows to run it

I just have this feeling its not as simple as just drivers.

can't say i heard of your ram before https://www.memorybenchmark.net/ram.php?ram=Essencore+Limited+8GBF1X08QFHH38-135-K+8GB&id=11004
