hi guys and gals, got a big question and looking for all advice.
im looking to upgrade my mobo and cpu this year and now overthinking whether to swap case as well.
i currently running;
phanteks enthoo primo case (huge i know)
evga 850w g2
evga gtx 780 (i have a second but mobo wont support)
16gb ram
2x 1tb hard drive
corsair h105 cpu cooling.

ill be looking at getting intel i7 4790k cpu and asus sabertooth mark1.

but im tempted by the asus gryphon and swapping my huge case for a mini itx/atx but was wonder whats a good one.

it would need to support sli 780, corsair h105 and 2x 3.5 harddrive with potential to do a custom watercool in future.
ive seen the evga hydro hadron but i dont think you can take the psu out of it as its built in.

has anyone got any good cases?

sorry i know its a lot to take in and im asking a lot too but i thank you all in advance.

A ITX motherboard will have only one pcieX16 slot, so no sli there.
M-ATX is possible for sli, but having two cards adjacent will generate heat problems.

You have to decide how much you want small vs. how much you want to use those two cards.

If you are going for a new build, ITX and a GTX980ti card will be good.

If you want to compromise, I can suggest a compact M-ATX Silverstone TJ-08E case and a sli capable M-ATX motherboard like the ASUS Maximus VII gene.

And, FWIW, if you are going to change out your cpu and motherboard,
With Skylake now available, there is absolutely no question in my mind that a new build should be Skylake.
a. Prices for cpu, z170 motherboard and ddr4 ram are almost precisely the same.
b. 6600K has an estimated 5-10% performance improvement per clock over haswell.
c. 14nm runs cooler, you get a decent overclock without the need for exotic cooling.
d. The Z170 chipset permits the use of much faster ssd devices on the horizon. Samsung 950 pro for example:

e. skylake can be upgraded in the future to kaby lake.

so it would be best to stay with my phanteks case if doing the sli just for temps (it runs around 30c and is damn cold inside)
i was looking at the skylake i5 6600k 3.5ghz. ill assume being new gen its better than the i7 4790k 4ghz.
and yea mobos and ram are very similar price if not the same.
i know ive got a lot of room to play with doing watercooling in my current case and was going to spray paint the inside for more custom look.
