[SOLVED] Possible to upgrade my ram?

I currently have a single 8gb stick of ddr3 1600mhz ram installed in my computer. I've tried upgrading to 16gb but I am having trouble booting with the new ram. I've tried 2 different 16gb kits with no success. Both have been ddr3 1600mhz.

Is it that my motherboard won't support anymore ram? My motherboard is an older acer h11h4-ad2

They should supported. Can you provide the label spec/pict of the old RAM and the new RAM ?

The new ram is cosair vengeance "CML16GX3M2A1600C10"

I'm not 100% on what my old ram is exactly but I took a picture

Refer to the spec, your old RAM is 1,35V, so it's DDR3L RAM type.

And the new RAM, work with 1,5V which is DDR3 only wihout "L" .

So they are different type RAM.
