I have a TP-Link modem+router, and I just got a new Fiber connection. Is it possible through some hack or workaround to use the ADSL router with a Fiber connection (I know they dont work by default)

Thanks

Fiber is optical yeah. But it ends into a cabinet, and I have an RJ45 connector that goes into the Ethernet port on my PC. So all it needs is a router, it doesnt need the Modem end of the gateway. Shouldnt it possible to use a workaround to plug the RJ45 into the Lan port on my router and get WiFI?

In my knowledge, the fiber connection need optical capable modem..

usually that modem still had wired connection/port (LAN) that u can connect to your existing network..
so your old modem+router only used for it's router...
