hello

ive been noticing some weird things lately. while playing a game like enemy territory, sometimes the fps will go to like 1 so a second, then go back to normal. it is a noticeable little skip. other games, such as halo, wont even finish loading the main menu. i click on the shortcut, it starts to load, but exits back to desktop. just tonight, i tried running 3dmark 2001, it said it couldnt initialize my 3d accelerator. i tried doing dxdiag. direct draw tests were choppy, and the direct 3d tests wouldnt work. they said "you cancelled the test by pressing a key." im sure that i did not press any key.

My real card is a MSI Geforce 4 Ti 4800 SE, not overclocked, running 53.03. Could this be a graphic card problem?? Thanks

(comp specs are: dell dimension 8200, 1.9 ghz, 768 ram, 400 w psu)

My Card: Geforce 7 Ti 6000, 1024 MB RAM, PCI-EX 32X, OC to 2000/4000, (1500 Watt power supply) 3dmark03: 47483

Use a driver cleaner utility or nasty file remover to clear any built up nVidia drivers floating around on your drive. Then re-install your drivers and see if that helps.

I help because you suck.

ahah! i figured it out. it happened to be some earthlink software that my brother had installed. weird how it affected the computer.
