Hey guys, long time reader of the site but a first time poster. I currently have a gigabyte GA-MA790x-ud4p motherboard which can run am2 and am3 cpus. I am currently looking into buying new ram (have to stay with ddr2), a quad core cpu, and a new video card. Here are the list of parts I want to get below.

As for the memory, I cannot find any good prices/deals on ddr2 1333 ram. Any suggestions on ram or comments on my parts selection would be very appreciated.

Newegg doesn't offer ddr2 1333mhz ram. I think you meant 1333 OC so that means you will have to overclock your memory because the highest is 1100 and I think you should go with the 1066. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007611%20600006042%20600006066%20600006112&IsNodeId=1&name=DDR2%201066%20%28PC2%208500%29 Any one of those RAMs is a good choice. It's sad how expensive ddr2 rams are these days. What RAM are you currently using anyway? I wouldn't spend more than $65 on DDR2 4gb... Hell.. I got my 4gb ddr3 1600mhz for $20 [after $25 mir]...

Thanks for input guys, I am going to go with the kingston ram btw. As for cpu cooling, I have a vigor moonsoon 3 lt now and I think I should be good with that cpu cooling wise. I am now running one stick 2gb stick of corsair 800mhz ddr2 and one 1gb stick of some no name brand now (one of my memory sticks went bad). Another quick question, I am currently running a amd 6000+ x2 cpu and it runs around 39-47 Celsius on idle. Is that normal?

Thanks.
