Post Crysis Bugs Here

Hi guys..
When I first installed Crysis it ran great. I then dowloaded the 1.1 patch and subsiquently cannot join Multiplayer. I thought I would try Un-installing and re-installing so it was back to the original. Since than I have problem when I alter the weapon. It stops the game for maybe 4 seconds then the weapon tilts and you can chose your options. then when i press "c" again to go back to game play it takes a further 4 seconds!
I have a decent system with a E6850 processor, 2 gig RAM, xfx 8800gts 640 GPU, running on DX9 High settings.

Any ideas

hmmm, which driver version are you using? If you have updated your graphics driver before this problem occurred you may want to roll back to a driver that had known functionality.

I have been having some major problems with the quick save. But this is AFTER I patched it to 1.1. In 1.1 I quick save, then reload a little bit later and it loads the game and I'm dead. This also effected every save I had. It either loads to me being dead or to a black screen. PC restarts wouldn't fix it and I tried to start a new game and it wouldn't work properly.

It forced me to re-install the game and play it without the patch. I have a feeling that this is related to a strange issue I had with the Vista 'sleep' thing. I lost power during sleep recently and got some strange stuff happening. Mostly with programs and files that I was working with just before the PC went to sleep and lost power.

Sounds like an oddly specific problem if there was any sort of damage to parts of the hard drive! I don't know why the autosave program would be changing itself mid-power loss though... Sounds like one of those rare system specific bugs...ouch! I guess wait for version 1.2 unless you have problems with 1.0.

I bought the game and played it all the way through on max settings without a problem. Then I downloaded and installed the newest patch and re-played it. For the first time now I am experiencing multiple crashes and lockups. My advice, if it’s not broken then don’t fix it. Yeah before the patch I noticed a few small bugs, but never did it hinder my play. Also, after installing the patch, I didn't notice a single improvement. If anything it seems like grenades are less affective. Still in the end, if it’s not broken, for this patch, don’t fix it.

Indeed. I am playing it now un-patched and it works fine. Strangely I am getting better performance. I think I forgot to defrag before I installed it the first time. This time I removed it, deleted the folder that was left behind and defrag'ed then re-installed. Now its running much better.

glory Hallelujah! I fixed my problem. Playing from half way through the previous level, then playing all the way through relic without using the quicksave feature (not sure if that specifically actually made a difference) and i got picked up by the vtol finally!

Still, i am seriously disappointed that i've had to wait almost two weeks after everyone else has finished the game before i get my chance.


and mrmez, try jumping up on top of the available tank, i think that may have done the trick for me, though i was never actually stuck. also, i've heard some rumors on other boards that quicksaving somehow messes up some of the event triggers. So maybe try replaying the entire level on easy and not using quicksave. Also, you shouldn't have to kill every soldier to complete this mission...i know i sure didn't!

I Haven the same problem, killed all 4 Koeans in Nano-suits but never got a remark about their suits, also the VTOL won't return to pick me up
I spent hour running around, shooting trees, bushes and frogs (sorry about that guys) only getting more frustrated

I do quicksave a lot so I'll now try to finish the level without quicky's and see if it works.

I also have texture problems after installing the patch, oh and my korean jeeps have no rear wheels anymore after installing the patch, pretty stupid sight

Hmm, oddly enough, i've heard some other people with the rear tire problem. Weird! The patch seems to have caused many problems. As far as the texture problems, you may have to wait for your video card manufacturer to release an update for your card that is specific to the new patch. Good luck!

Ima say this and hope that im not banned but don't forget to update your no DVD crack for the new version. It turns out that my issues with the 1.1 patch was because of of the no DVD crack I was using (it was for 1.0). And no, I am not going to post any links. If you use this, you know where to find it. And no, I don't have an illegal version. I am fully legit.

I kinda had the idea to reinstall the game so my texture and tire problems that appeared after installing the patch would be solved. Textures are fine now but get this...... Vehicules that had no rear tires before reinstalling now lack their front tires, NO KIDDING!!!!!!

I still cannot finish the Relic level though

Got last save in Relic level from a friend, tried that, killed those koreans in nanosuits and..... VTOL picked me up

Two glitches, once during assault a enemy chopper started rising up until i could hardly see it. I wasted a lot of rockets before i shot it down. I also found out that when u do the hacks in crysis, strength adjustments etc the korean nano-suits become just as strong as me. Even with my hp set to 5 times normal and my strength set to 1500 the koreans punch me in strength mode and i die. I also find that the gauss rifle screwed up, for such a high-tech and powerful weapon it only has 10x zoom and the longest range shot i did was 260m but this could also be because i am using a crappy 17" monitor.
For those who hav played CoD4 the ghillie suit works a lot better than cloak mode, especially in the part where u go prone and crawl past dozens of guys and a few tanks.

lol...so are you saying that when you try to cheat and hack you run into problems??

wat? i beat the game nearly 5 times on hard and my internet connection sucks, the only fun way to continue playing it was changing the game config files.
