Must say computers came a Loooooong way from when I first started at Age 10.
My USB drive now has more Memory then my Hard Drive did years back.

All in all, I still miss My Voodo 32 MB 3d only Video card!!! (On my AMD k6 3 system) I think they ran out of buisness because they were to ahead of their time. I was so sad to see them go~

I wish I knew... It takes 4 weeks from the day you order. It should be here in about a week. So far I've gotta say it's the best service... I've been in contact with my builder since I ordered and he's made suggestions and been really really helpful. Can't wait to retire this old rig.

Hehe, the day I ordered my Falcon my computer crashed and I had to reformat... must'a been jealous

lol, yeah it defenatly was. When i built my current pc, my console (xbox) decided to have a hard drive failure. Jealousy can be an ugly thing.

You're full of $hit...you created another thread with almost the exact same specs except you had an FX5700 Ultra instead of the quadro...the FX is an AGP card, and you claimed to have it plugged into Asus P5WDG2, which is a workstation mobo, with PCI Express!!!

Take it somewhere else you phony!!!!!!

CPU: AMD Athlon XP 3000+@3200+ (Factory unlocked multiplier) Cooled by a Volcano 9 Vacuum clea.... hurm... I mean, Cooler.
Mobo: ASUS A7N8X-E DELUXE REV2
GPU: XFX GeForce 6600GT 128MB DDR3 (AGP) (Dont' expect to play Riddick on max settings, but it handles pretty well with most games of today)
RAM: 768MB DDR400 (Elixir. Soon to be 1.75GB)
PSU: Topower, 420W.
System HDD: 80GB Hitachi drive. 2MB cache. P-ATA/100)
Storage HDD: 250GB Western Digital Caviar SE16. SATA2, 16MB cache)
Misc Storage: Mobile Rack (with a 40GB Hitachi "Floppy" disk 😛), Trascend Card Reader USB2

Net: 1 Gigalan NIC, 1 10/100 NIC (Both Integrated)

OS: XP Pro. (I would pretty much prefer Suse 10, but you can't run many games on linux 🙁)

Video card is not the best arround, but it handles pretty well with most of today's games. And as a powerful AGP video card is stupidly expensive here, i wont be changing it anytime soon. It's most likely that i get a new one the day i go PCI-E with a new rig.

It was a high end gaming pc when i put it together 3 years ago. It still handles quite well in most things. Still there are way more powerful rigs out there..

Fastest stable clock rate I have reached with this hard with aircooling was 2525 MHZ (219x11.5). Can't go higher than that with the current ram sticks. I tried with a pair of DDR500 OCZ and reached ~2800 (12*233) a few weeks ago (core voltage at 1.80). Didnt try any higher as ive seen some mothers of the same brand as mine to corrupt the bios when overclocking too hard...

I harness the power of a 15oz hamster in a wheel. The assumption that it is slow is incorrect. I find with the current hardware prices compared to the price of drugs, I get far better bang:buck sprinkling some crack in his water dispenser....the "overclocking" can cause loss of hamster but is solved very easily with a trip to the pet store. Also, each hamster's clock speed is denoted by the color of his fur. However, I cannot divulge the color of the fastest runners in fear of being labeled a racist.

I think its funny how quickly people jump on the opportunity to spout system specs. You dont see reasonable responses to everyday questions with that kind of eagerness. This forum can be so slow sometimes, now I know its due to the countless, ego-stroking spec threads, and shopping lists.

Glad I could help bloat server loads.
Nevermind me.... Its the West Nile Fever talking.

They are karaoke speakers that only produce 80w of power. No need for a  for that.

3DMark07 : damn...my rig will look like Intel 486 DX4 100Mhz.
3DMark08 : You need to change your computer, my recommended system is way too advanced than yours.
3DMark09 : You don't need a computer, you can only imagine...

Yep, i'm not that kind of rich, but my brain compute way more faster than my rig

Yawn ... doordand is an idiot ... he had no idea how picky and detail oriented this crop of forum addicts can be... his first mistake was thinking he could run one over anyone :)

Here are my specs ...

Lian Li PC-1000B
2x Dell 2405FPWs
2 CHEAP Logitech PS/2 keyboards
Logitech Trackball
Logitech MX510
HP PSC 1110 AIO

all running on nothing more than 9 inches of man-meat...
overclocked to 1.81 jigahertz at a solid 88mph.

You all make me feel very shameful of my rig...if you can call it that. Bought most of the guts of the pc about 3 years ago, planning to get an AM2 system in December seeing as Conroe is nowhere to be seen in SA. Nontheless here we go.

AMD Athlon XP 2500+ Barton
Thermaltake 300W psu (all I could afford at the time)
Crappy Asus mobo (sata don't work nemore)
Geforce 5700 256 MB (once again, the budget)
2X Corsair 512 MB 400mhz value RAM
2X 120 GB Seagate Baracuda's @ 7200 RPM (have a 200 GB sata one as well but the mobo...)
2X Benq 16X DVDRW (got one as a prezzy)
Thermaltake Lanmoto case (red)
matching red wireless keyboard and mouse
Logitech 5.1 surround sound (cant remember the model, at work now)
BenQ 71GX 17" flat screen with 4ms response time

With the petrol prices today, the savings for the new rig is not really going as well as planned. Anyone got an old system they wanna give away? even a s939 or Pentium D will be a huge boost.
