I've got some classics 8)

Diamond Monster 3D w/ 4MB Ram: $20 (Bought it to play Red Baron 3D)

Geforce2 TI: $60 (As you might imagine, this card blew me away)

Geforce4 TI4600: $190 (Jaw hits floor)

Radeon 9800 Pro: $70 (I kid you not, just a few months after I got the TI4600, I find this puppy at a CompUSA grab box thing. The card was retailing for $350 They didn't know what they had.)

XFX Geforce 7600GS: $50 (Buy.com/Google Christmas special, how I love thee...)

1. Dont remember the name of the first one 🙁
2. Ati Rage 128
3. Voodoo 2
4. Radeon 9800 pro
5. Radeon x1600pro

Next card will be 8800GTS i think.

Edit: Hmm, maybe Voodoo 2 came before Ati Rage 128, i dont remember :)

umm
whatever came in my 486 good enough for doom 1+2 and hours upon hours of Simcity2000)
intel 810e 8Mb intergrated (actually performed pretty well)
geforce mx440 128 still runs nicely (quake farcry)
6800gt (Loved this card till it bummed out on me 3 months ago)
x1950pro (performs very well however not really gaming all that much as my 3500 cant run supcom waiting for stalker this week!!! oh and CnC3 next weeK!!!!)

next will probably get an R600 (provided it performs well)

ok my links

1.just remember it was a 16m TNT/TNT2

2.ATI Radeon 9100 Agp4x

3.ATI Radeon 9600Pro AGP8X(current use)

Now I just plan on a new card x2800xt, I hope it is a good card that i love it :)

that i actually did use for some amount of time:

sis530 (onboard, sucked trully bad)
creative 3dfx voodoo banshee 16 mb (awesome for unrealtournament)
chaintech gefore 3 ti200 128 mb (oced above ti500, great card)
ati9500 64mb (died with multiple artifacts)
point of view geforce 7800GS, teh actual card

still using a voodoo5 on a backup system

sis530 (onboard, sucked trully bad)

Yeah, it did...latest driver even made the little 3d functionality it had to disappear, too, if using DirectX 8 or later--that was a pain.

still using a voodoo5 on a backup system

😱 😱 😱 😱 😱 REALLY? You have a Voodoo5? How on earth did you get a card that was never released to manufacturing?!?

11. Geforce 4400

Really? That one was pretty rare...how was it compared to the 4200Ti since I can't find any specs on it?

It was one step below the 4600... I think it had a slower clock on it. I loved that card because the value was so excellent--something like within 10% of top-of-the-line for 3/4 the price IIR. I think I picked it up for around $300 brand new (which is the price point I like to buy vid cards at :) )

Fuzzy, don't quote me on these:

Ati Rage 128
Voodoo3 3300 PCI
Voodoo4 4500 AGP
Geforce4 Ti4400 (R.I.P.)
GeforceFX 5200
Geforce 6800 Ultra PCIe
Geforce 7900GS

Now just have to figure out what comes next...

In continuing with our 4400 theme, what happened to yours? I'm asking because mine died a sad death as well--it just became corrupt one day, no overclocking or anything (I did replace the stock fan when it died but I mounted it correctly and everything.) I really liked this card because I upgraded from an old GF2 GTS to it, wow what a difference that was in those days!

Oh--man, I can't remember anything clearly from that time. Honestly I never ever was a voodoo fan since I've never even seen one (except at a store, lol), so never knew what I missed. I hear they were the most awesomest cards on the planet at the time, though.

I notice nobody has mentioned Matrox cards or S3 Unichrome integrated graphics thus far...

Yeah, the only one I ever had was a Voodoo 3 2000 that I grabbed out of a friends junk pile to play old games on. The 6000 was a monster but it was never released, I have seen pics of a guy who got an engineering sample and was still using it though.

lets see i had 2 video cards in my old AMD K6 machine that i don't remember

Replaced those with a Geforce 2MX to get the old k6 working for just a little while longer

Then here are the rest ive ever had

Geforcefx 5600xt

geforce 6800(died because of too much overclocking)

geforce 6800(loved this one cuz i could unlock the extra 4 pipelines

geforce 7800gt

geforce 7900gto(current) - got this one for free

my next card might be whatever is the best buy for ati/nvidia during the next generation of video cards but im debating whether or not to wait until geforce 9 and the ati x3000 series

1. Diamond Speedstar 24x
2. S3 Virge DX
3. Voodoo Banshee
4. Voodoo3 2000

7. Geforce4 4200
8. ATI 9600pro
9. Geforce 6600GT & ATI X800 (same time)
10. Geforce 7900GS

I probably had a few others.

And a few integrated chipset cards along with a mobility X1600 currently in my laptop!

Next will be the best DX10 I can get for ~$400 after ATI/AMD release their new cards and nvidia has some 8900's out!

Best,

3Ball

S3 Virge 2mb
Nvidia vanta 16mb
Nvidia Geforce 2mx 32mb
Nvidia Geforce fx5200 128mb
ATI Radeon 9250 256mb
BFG Nvidia Geforce 7600 256mb DDR3

Going back a long way, but

1) Later!
2) 1mb VESA (S3/Trident?)
3) 4mb Orchid Pro (II) Tseng Labs ET6000 PCI & 4mb Voodoo1
4) 4mb PowerVR
5) 12mb Voodoo II
6) Hercules Geforce1
7) NVidia MX4000 onboard with NForce 2 (marginally slower than (6) at some benchmarks!)
8) NVidia 6600GT

The best was (1) though. A 256Kb ISA card that came with an on-board jumper you could pull to convert it between 8-Bit ISA and 16-Bit ISA. 640x480 in 16 colours (I think) - still have it somewhere, I used it for testing for years.

S3 Virge - 4MB
S3 Virge DX - 4MB
Rage II - 4MB
TNT 2 - 32MB - Wow i could start to play things
Geforce 2 MX 400 - 64MB - replacement for the busted TNT2
Geforce 3 Ti 200 - 128MB - Took it back, not enough improvement and no multi monitor support(tv and monitor at the same time)
Geforce 4 TI 4200 OCed to 4600 - think it was 128MB..its in the closet
Radeon 9800 Pro - 128MB farcry with the dx9 shaders on WOOT!!!
X850pro flashed to x850xt - 256MB
X1900xt - 512MB - needed to get a pci-e card for my current system

IGPs to start
Geforce TI4600
Geforce 5200 Ultra
Radeon 9600 XT
Geforce 5950 Ultra
Radeon X700 Pro*
Radeon X1900 AIW

* I killed it, after 2 months on a heavy OC it started to smoke, literally

When my x700 was cooking, i shared my bros comp which had
Radeon X850 XT
SLI 2x 6800 Ultra

Well,

In the days of yore, when I had 8086 and 486, there were no 3d accelerated graphics card for my pc...

Then I got these:

Trident 1 MB
Diamond Stealth 4 MB
Riva TNT (don't remember if I got this before or after the Vodoo)
Vodoo 3000 16 MB, TV out
GeForce 2
Gainward GeForce 3 Ti 200
Inno 3D GeForce FX 5600 XT
Gigabyte GeForce 6600 GT

EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS 640 MB

Fun thread!

1)S3 Savage 4
2)GeForce 2 MX
3)GeForce 4 Ti 4600 <-------------- 8)
4)Radeon X800 XL (AGP) <-----------I bought this just so I could play BF2 and HL2
5)GeForce 8800 GTS OC
