Hi, I recently bought a Pentium g3258 and planned on overclocking it. However it seems that I need very high voltages upwards of 1.270 V to even get the CPU to 3.9 ghz. For now I have achieved a stable OC of 3.6 ghz with 1.174 V, but I wanted to push it further. I think it was just horrible luck in the silicon lottery, but I am sort of worried that it is a problem with the cpu itself. I'm new to this computer stuff (first build), but I've heard of others getting upwards of 4.1 ghz on 1.2 V, and a few golden chips getting 4.2 ghz+ speeds at 1.1 V on the stock cooler. Also, is there anything else besides the frequency and voltage I have to change in the bios?
