Hey everyone,
I am building kind of a budget PC for my dad, I have built a few other computers in the past successfully, but he wanted to use some older parts to make his cheaper. We purchased and built the computer making sure everything is compatible with each other.
The problem is I am getting no signal to the monitor when I turn on the computer. Computer and processor fans come on, my graphics cards indicator light turns on, and the optical drive opens and closes but still no signal.
My specs are:
CPU: AMD FX-8350 black edition (new)
GPU: NVIDIA 970 (my old one)
RAM: 4X4GB DDR3 (old ram)
PSU: Thermaltake 600W (new)
Motherboard: gigabyte 970A-DS30 AM3+ Socket (new)
HardDrive: WD 3.5" Blue 1TB (new)
The problem is the bios speaker isnt beeping at all. I took out the RAM to try and force beeps but that still didnt work. I have we installed and rewired everything as well with no such luck. Could it be the ram is bad? Or would that not interfere with the monitor not receiving a signal?
