I'm encountering a strange issue where the power button, which is set to sleep the computer, works only once after a reboot but then stops working.
So basically: reboot, press power button, PC sleeps, press power button, PC wakes, press power button, does nothing. Reboot, repeat.
Weird thing is if I set the power button to hibernate it works just fine. Repeated presses of the button will hibernate/wake without issue. Additionally, the PC will also sleep by itself fine. It's just the power button that stops working.
Some quick searches turned up similar issues but from 2015 when users first upgraded to W10 but there was never a solution and I've not found anything mentioned more recently.
I've had sleep issues (not button related) before on another PC so I've gone through the usual motions, running powercfg commands and checking the power reports to see what could be preventing it from sleeping, but nothing out of the ordinary sticks out. Note I can sleep the machine just fine from the Windows menu and as mentioned above, it sleeps by itself just fine too.
Any guidance appreciated.
