Just finished a Ryzen build using the Apevia Destiny Mid-Tower Case:
https://www.apevia.com/products-cases/destiny-flow-bk
There is a problem with the Front Panel connectors, which I have never seen before.
Here are the Front Panel Connectors coming from the case:
HDD LED
Power LED (One Positive, One Negative)
LED SW
There is no Reset cable (which is fine, because there is no Reset Button on the Front Panel).
Main Problem:
There is no Power Switch cable for the Front Panel.
PC Behavior:
I plugged in the HDD LED and POWER LED cables in their normal positions, and left the LED SW cable disconnected.
When pressing the Power Button on the Front Panel, nothing happens.
I used a screwdriver to jump the Power Switch pins on the motherboard, and the system turns on normally.
When the system is powered-on, the Power Button on the Apevia Destiny actually changes the color of the Fan Lights.
Very strange, and I have never seen this before.
I just want to be able to plug everything in, and run the system normally.
My plan:
I was going to plug-in the Power LED cables into the POWER SWITCH pins on the motherboard, and then plug-in the LED SW cable (from the case) into the POWER LED pins on the motherboard.
Are there any obvious mistakes here?
Would this damage the motherboard (if so, why)?
